I just came back from the most rejuvenating trip. The last time I travelled was in October 2025, and although I thoroughly enjoyed spending the winter hibernating and resting, I was ready to go on an adventure. My first trip of 2026 brought me more than I could have hoped for.
Portugal is a country I never get tired of visiting: the landscapes, the ocean, the insanely delicious and fresh food, the amazing weather... I had so much fun –as always– and I came back with my heart full, inspired by two women I am blessed to call friends.
Lisboa, Portugal
I was a tomboy growing up; I loved hanging out with the boys and doing things usually associated with masculine energy. I liked exploring, playing in the dirt, and being outside. I had girlfriends, but I was not into the "girly" stuff. This is a character trait that stayed with me throughout my life; I've always tapped into my masculine, independent side a little more than my feminine side. It is only in the last 5 years that I have started to explore and nurture my feminine energy, a process that was very much brought on by the onset of perimenopause. I'm very grateful for it; I feel energetically balanced and tuned in to the divine feminine energy within me, but also around me.
The time spent with Gemma and Alice was the women's circle I didn't know I needed. I've never actually attended a women's circle, but when Gemma referred to our time together as such, it completely resonated. Last week was truly magical and healing. Because I am so independent, I often deal with challenges on my own first, despite having very supportive friends. It's just a motus operanti, rather than a lack of people to rely on. It was so beautiful to spend time with women, sharing our stories, listening to each other, laughing, crying, and just being there for one another.
This was the best way to kick off my travelling adventures in 2026, in a country I absolutely adore, with inspiring women.
