Epic Birthday Week

I am officially on a one-week birthday holiday, which wasn't actually planned, but every other year, my birthday falls on Easter. Normally not a big deal to me; I'm not catholic, so I don't really care. However, it was a big deal this year because I happen to live in Spain now. Seville makes a very big deal out of Easter (Semana Santa here); not only that, Spanish peeps love a good bank holiday weekend. A month ago, I realised that my birthday falls on the Thursday before Good Friday, which meant that I would have a 4-day weekend. Pretty damn good already. Even better, a week later, I found out that one of the studios I work at was closing the entire Semana Santa (Holy Week). I then discovered that the other studio I work at would have a shorter schedule, and therefore I would have a one-week holiday!!!

So here I am, beginning my birthday week in Luz, Portugal, to visit Marcelo until Thursday, then I will spend my birthday night with my mum. Finally, I will end the week of celebration in Prado del Rey to visit other friends of mine. Am I one lucky cow or what? Absolutely ecstatic, especially because I have been working non-stop until today, and this holiday is 100% welcome and deserved. I just practised on the beach, and I am now relaxing with a glass of wine.
