Sahasrara Chakra

Updated: May 6

Cloudy blue sky

One of its mantras: I am light

Crown chakra: a thousand white petals lotus flower

Location: Crown/top of the head

Vibration/resonance: Silence

Colour: Violet

The seventh chakra acts as a portal whereby the energy of more spiritual realms can enter and connect with our own. This is where the individual dissolves into universal consciousness. I am light, as being one with all, as well as enLIGHTened, always. Experiences of bliss, overwhelming joy, connection to all, immense gratitude for life take place at the level of this chakra. Death of the ego, in a way. Or a shift within. Love.

In the physical body, the sahasrara chakra is associated with the central nervous system, the pituitary gland and the endocrine system (pineal and hypothalamus glands).

Yoga poses/practices: Sirsasana (headstand and any variations or modifications of the classical pose), sarsangasana (rabbit pose), pranayama like the naulis, meditation.

Some essential oils to stimulate muladhara: juniper, neroli, chamomile, geranium, bergamot, lavender, cypress, jasmine, sandalwood...

Namaskar (salutation to your essence) mudra: join the hands together with the fingers extended straight up and touching in front of the chest with the thumbs in contact with the sternum.

Namaskar mudra
